I started another thread saying the 2012 SESG headlight output was disappointing. Well I purchased a black daymaker headlight but did not like it with the chrome headlight bezel. I purchased and just installed a black headlight bezel, which look do you like better with the black daymaker, the chrome or the black bezel? Or, if it was yours would you have gone with the clear daymaker and chrome bezel. I kinda like the sinister black look.

The black is more stealthy and flows from light to bezel to fairing.

Depends on the color of the bike, I think... and what else is blacked out. I like the black on your bike, and on the Krypto... but on a Hot Citrus/Antique Gunstock like mine, definitely chrome. Black would look hideous on my bike.

Normally I'm a chrome bling guy, but with the black headlight and dark paint on your bike, I'd go with the black trim ring. I agree, it gives your SG that sinister look.

X2, 3, 4, etc on staying with the black on black on black. Since you have the dark LED headlight, keep it dark with the black ring....of course these are our opinions, your results may vary! You have to stay with what you like.

Damn..... that's a heavy hit!

The chrome pops nice on the black 12's with the chrome front end and the black does look good too. It's a win win in my book.

You should of waited till October. Harley came out with a headlight trim ring called burst part number 61400149

I pulled it up on the HD website. I think I prefer the all black one to the "burst" model. To each their own, that's why there are so many choices when it comes to HD and everyone modifies their bike slightly different. Then again if I saw one in person I might say to myself, "I gotta have that"!!

I like that new H-D Burst one.... Looks kinds cool and at $130.00 it already looks better than the other one from head winds for $390.00

As for Black or Chrome, That is the beauty of all of this! It's all about YOU doing what YOU want to YOUR bike and making it YOUR OWN. Make it stand out or make it blend in...the options are endless.

Good luck on what ever you decide to go with.

Quite true!

Now having said that... everyone has an opinion and here's mine... I do not care for the look of that Burst trim ring on a bagger at all. It doesn't go with the smoothness of the fairing, and it looks jarring and out of place to me. I much prefer the Visor trim rings on the headlight and the passing lamps (for those bikes that have them.)

But I'm just an old Chromaholic FART... so what do I know about what's "hip" these days? I'm so old, I don't even know the modern word for "hip" or "cool" or "rad" or whatever... and frankly I don't even care anymore!

I agree with Ken.i think black looks great with the shown Krypto and it'd go we'll with black, but I prefer chrome overall. To each their own.

I did all chrome with Truck light phase 7 with driving lights but in your application I would use all Black for sure!! I also went with the radiantz led turn signals!!

Chrome looks good on your bike and I like the Aux lights. That was the one thing I really wanted on my SESG. I had Aux lights on my Electraglide and it seems to get folks attention better with more lights on the front.

Black for me, I couldn't justify the price of the Headwinds piece even thou it's really well done. I had a Harley visor trim ring that I had powder coated gloss black for $20.

Did the same thing on mine , been looking at the burst trim ring and can't decide. I don't have any other burst collection stuff on my bike but I think that ring looks good on yours. I might do that too!

Looks good the way you have it also. I had the burst already installed on the OEM headlight so kept it for the daymaker.
