No rescue mission.

On the other hand :nixweiss: it could be a rescue mission. Keeping it from going into the banks hands.

Storm Tracker Hurricane Doppler 6500-AX6-V Super Resolution Radar 948 with Extra Special Sonic Transponder Antennas shows it heading directly for the general vicinity of my house as it tracks the cone of horrifications & milk & bread buying frenzies.

I plan to sell rope to Cantore so he can lash himself to one of my trees & flap sideways in the wind.  If it's not windy enough I can rent a really big fan & throw some confetti for special effects.  Wonder if Rip Taylor is busy on Friday?

Thanks.  After we get north of the storm the weather looks ok.  Had a rainy ride last Sunday that was a lot of fun.  Dropped my cell phone going 70 mph.  Separated into 4 pieces all over the road. Friends behind me stopped & picked it up.  Put it back together & it still works great. Kinda lucky this week....

Heading out on Saturday morning.  Riding buddy from the Jacksonville area is watching the cone of horrifications tracking over Jax then hanging west in his ride path for Sat.  So we may head a little west instead - will be in Nashville Sat. night. Muskegon Sunday, then Sault St. Maire on Monday.  Milwaukee on Wednesday - 11 of us & counting from the area.

Cantore is scaier than the 'canes - gals used to like him before he shaved his head from what I  heard.  Shoulda planned a wet t shirt contest for Friday for the weather babes.....

Catch the wife - chasing is not as much fun as catching the wife.  Then get her to clean (or help) clean the bikes.  Then chase/catch her again.

Repeat until beer thirty.

I know bout Naw eastahs well growing up in the nawth, where is snows north...
It is hard enough to get around down here when the weather is good thats all
When coconuts commence to let loose, then it is bad.

A good day on the flightline years ago the winds were steady at 40, gusts to 60, regular old day.

When Andrew blew through years back, my remote weather station which was installed for a pollution program I was doing, registered 165mph on the remote recorder before it blew away, never found it...4 holes and broke concrete.  My freinds we in Carols for Hugo, not good either..

The local newsfolks do not go stand out in the rain & lean sideways yelling into a microphone whilst crap flies about their heads - they leave that to the bigwig network/cable news talkies & the Jim Cantore sightings are frequent.  Even when he is not in the area.

Some poor soul will be interviewed who will state something like:  "Wayull ah jest didn't know how scared ah would be and ah thought ah was gonna die.  Wooooo-eeeee! Next time ah will evacuate & take my 36 cats with me.  C'mere lil' Friskiebunnypoo......."

In some areas corruption is limited to about 40-50% of Uncle Sam's goody bag.  In New Orleans it is closer to 75-80%. Then they waste as much of the remaining 20% as possible.

Never has so much been given to so few who have done so little with it, considering.

Cabo Wabo - excellent!   :drink:

Well Clearwater folks are scared to death that this thing is going to come back and tear them a new one :nervous:

I am sitting on an ocean veranda looking out at a little sea, not to bad...

On the boat subject....the owner of the boat met us at a ramp and what do you think the dumb azz did.......that is right ...he drained all the fuel out of the boat and it clogged the fuel filters. That stupid azz move cost him $10,000. He said he did not want us to pull the boat home with 300 gallons of fuel in it......my azz......tight wad wanted the fuel for himself......

Now we are waiting for him to have the Mercury dealer fix his stupid move so we can sea trial the thing. Seas are about 3-5 feet so it will be a great sea trial :2vrolijk_21:

Good excuse for a hurricane party, Hogasm.  Best of luck on getting the boat going wherever it's going.

Here in the midle of path of the oncoming "Cone of Horrifucations" school has been canceled for tomorrow.  No one is running amuck, but soon somebody will and a tv camera will be there to record their amuckness.  May hit water then land again just south of here according to the "Cone".

New plans for my Harleyworld Milwaukee adventure:  May leave Friday morning & head to Atlanta - maybe the Kennesaw area or so for Friday night.  Depends on flooding or mostly the lack thereof.

I aint skeeeerd  ;D and for the sea trail, well  :worthless:

Just so you guys know, we have terribly fierce unnamed storms that roll through here with little warning.  Below are some photos of the devastating damage from the last one.

Here's one of the irreparable trauma to my deck....

Well now that I want to talk about this storm, I don't know her name  :nixweiss:....I'll just call her a big PITA :coolblue:

Finally left for home at 4:30pm yesterday. A little rain in Clearwater, nothing to even think twice about.

We decided to take I-75 up to I-10 to miss the strong winds and rain. Well I don't think this was a bad decision because we only hit 40 kt head winds the whole way north. Rain so hard you could not even see 150 yards ahead. That didn't matter because with the winds we could only tow the boat 40mph top speed......from Clearwater to Pooler Georgia......Oh what a PITA.......

Finally stopped in Lumberton NC at a rest stop at 4:30am this morning. At 6:30am, Tony, the purchaser of the boat, decided that he would drive a little while and let me get some sleep.

14 miles down I-95 a friendly NC State Trooper pulled Tony over.....sir where is your towing permit? Towing Permit? What is a Towing Permit?
Well I know what a towing permit is and so does Tony....but he decided not to purchase one because he was told by another State Trooper that they were only pulling over boats with 3 or more motors....well not in our case....Tony received a $500 fine for not having his Oversized Towing Permit.

We were them escorted to the closest truck stop and told not to move the combo till we purchased a 1 day Oversized Towing Permit/

To make things more fun...he had just purchased this new truck but for some reason the paperwork on the tags on the truck were not done completely and the DMV had put a hold on them.....so ......after listening to Tony blow a few head gaskets....things weretaken care of.....small time spent in the truck stop....3.5 hours....

What is so bad about that 14 miles is that I was hired to drive the entire trip because Tony just had rotator cup surgery and did not need to be driving.

Dropped the boat off at the shop at 1:30pm today and had to drive home another 4 hours....the hardest part of the trip. Tony wanted me to ride his Road King home but on the way down to pick up the boat, we stopped off at the painter that was working on Crash for the last 16 months....another story.....and picked up the last pieces he had of mine :2vrolijk_21:
Well I probably stopped 5 times on the last 4 hours to splash water on m face to stay awake........

Would not have been so tiring if it weren't for Florida's PITA storm

I aint skeeeerd  ;D and for the sea trail, well  :worthless:

Would you believe that we never more than idled the boat out of the marina. The owner drained all the fuel out of the tanks and vapor locked the pickup pumps and burned them out. Motors are still under warranty till 12-2011 so no worries...

Tony still bought the boat......over $27,000 less than original accepted offer.....see what happens when you try to be a tight wad....cost him a small bundle trying to save 300 gallons of fuel :nixweiss:

Heckuva trip, Hogasm.

The storm's name is "Fay".   I rode north & west early this morning mostly in front of the rain & wind.  Heard it hit Tallahassee a little after noon.  Nothing like the horrific damage Jim experienced on his deck.  A limb is down in the yard though.

Will be in Nashville sometime tomorrow.  Bikes are dirty & since its threatening rain no way will they get washed.  Local beerporium had a great selection & was easy walking distance.

The Cone of Horrifciations is now south of us.

yeah, the Dip doesn't have the same range as the Zacapa, it is in the top 3 rotation however, don't like the plastic pour thingy on the bottle - what's with that?  Also the fact that it is Venezulean has me somewhat off it - will finish and reconsider - maybe Chavez will get shot?

Right now the Zaya is my top pick, and at 28 a bottle in the Class 6 is a bargain.  Wasted 62 on the Appleton 23 year, flat.
