Binx Makes Grits!

Well, she finally found them! Binx picked up some grits cause I wouldn't leave her alone about them since the Pickup Ride! ::) She made them for us this weekend. Even the kids got in on it. They'd never had them before! And they all disappeared! No more potatoes for breakfast in this house anymore! ;) Now she's gotta learn them Chicken and Dumplings! ;D Hoist! 8)

So Binx how hard was it to boil water??? ;D  

When Terry moved me out here years ago I had a heck of a time finding them in the store. Stupid me did not look down the aisle that had breadcrumbs. Found this out after talking with the store manager about ordering them. They have since been relocated to the correct aisle.

The only difficult part about that one is getting the dumplings off the chicken.  They are so attached to them.....

In Texas, we called it "chicken fried steak."  Most everywhere else in the south its called "country fried steak."  Us Texans are proud to be different.   :pepper:

Question?  Have eaten grits.  All kinds of grits.  Cheese, cinammon, etc etc etc.  Have never known, however, just what the hell is a "grit."

Fowl, vegetable, from the hoof, plant?  Have never seen a grit plant.  Have never seen a grit walking in a field.  Have never witnessed grits flying south for the winter.  Just what the hell is a grit?
