Man, I was just thinking about her when you were talking about the peanut girl. I wonder what she looks like now? :nixweiss: She sure did cause a ruckus back then. Working out at Pratt, we never could get down to sample her morsels, but she sure made the news enough. Thong and pasties. right?

It's a southern thang!!  I used to be good but now I'm great!!  Damn they are good!!

im from louisiana, never saw a boiled peanut till i moved here. now there are stuffed peanut people, peanut statues, peanut festival---------------i dont get it. but i woud pay $20 for moms green peanut pie.

Took them off and now letting them cool and soak up the salt and spices that I put in.  They taste great now but in 3 hrs. they will be super.  I'll probably let some sit overnight too.

I can't believe I missed this. I could have told you my secret: ice!. Yup, ice. After you take them off the heat, dump ice into the pot. It makes the peanuts absorb the salt more! Yummy! And this is coming from a Yankee!
