Millions & millions of tires on the road - car tires, bike tires, truck tires, trailer tires.  Millions & millions of miles ridden on those tires - tires wearing out all the time.

Why aren't there piles of tire tread rubber on the sides of the road?  Where does it all go?  Huh?

The short answer is that the rubber that is left on the road is broken down by Ultra violet light.

Good news for me, Howie!  I go through 2 rear tires & a front tire (at least) each year.  My bikes will dyno at 140 invisible HP sometime in the next year or 2 probably. :huepfenlol2:

Noticed this standing around shops & garages & all for years - riders lots of times inflate their actual HP by 10-25% or sometimes by  :confused5: :confused5: unreal numbers.  That must be the magical invisible kind of HP that cannot be dynoed. 

So more torque comes from the used oil or burnt down brake pads?   :nixweiss:

Thanks. My Ultra only has red, amber, & a regular headlight, Ed.  I am not going to put any violet lights on my Ultra even if they do break down rubber.



Note to self:  Do not park near any blacklights.
