My last ride for a while

On Sunday, the wife and I rode in the 32nd annual Tulsa ABATE Toy Run, which benefits the Marine Corp Toys for Tots.  According the the local media, there were over 5,000 bikes, and all gave at least one new toy, if not several, to be given to less fortunate kids for Christmas.

Wed a.m., I go in for shoulder rotator cuff surgery/repair.  It has been bothering me since a bad spill in '04, but has got to the point I have to have it done.  So, it'll be several weeks before I ride again.  I'll be passing time by keeping up with stuff on this forum, and on a couple of Cobra replica forums I hang out at.

Keep posting good stuff to read!!

 I had the same surgery about 4 years ago and was able to ride about 3 weeks later. Yes it was sore, and I had to be extra careful, but we have to ride.

I do not live that far away so I could come up and ride it for you or could even bring it down here make sure the battery stays charged. Just sayin.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies!!

I'm home. Doc repaired the torn cuff, removed the bone spur, and re-attached the bicep tendon that had separated. Now I understand why I wasn't able to get any sleep.  All I need now is patience to give it time to heal.  Reminds me of a prayer I heard about.........."Lord, give me patience, and give it to me right now."

Glad your surgery went well. Now for the rehab to get things movin' again. My buddy and I are coming down to Ponca City next week to duck hunt Kaw Resivoir and the area. Hope to find some Greenheads.  Looks like you guys are getting lots of snow to the West. You'd think you were in Minnesota. Take care.
