My friend has a 45 footer on his way home from Colorado dropped a valve. Close to the cost of a new CVO to replace. This is his 3rd coach in 10 years.  I have watched him lose close to $600,000.00 trading every three years.  He is in deep on this one close to 1,000,000.00. When he trades this one I'll bet he doubles his losses.  Me I can't see it, tried it upkeep on coach was way more than we  ever anticipated.  JMO.
Chains what brand/model?

I retired last year at 48.  Everyone thinks we are crazy and going to go back to work just to have something to do, NOT.  Retirement is GREAT!  We logged around 25,000 miles this year and in Michigan, we only had about a 3 1/2 month riding season!

I say, retire young while you still have your health!
I plan on retiring soon... however I will probably work part-time somewhere.... For me working somewhere beats the hell out of the "honey do" stuff. :D

I'm aiming for 60 - only 9 years 4 months to go  ::)
I'm going to refer to it as "retirement" as I plan to be done working as hard or as much as I feel I do now, especially working out in the weather all the dang time (I work for a utility and northeastern winters really are no fun) but I'll probably still work -- part time --- just to keep myself from going crazy. Our financial adviser says we're on track and I would hope so....
My city has mandatory retirement at age 60 for public safety but I'm not going to work that long... This past July it was 31 years for me... public safety is a young man's game and "Father Time" has reaffirmed that to me. :D

That's why I'll never fully retire... as long as I'm working I don't get a "honey do" list

the more I have the pleasure of spending time on this site the more I kind of understand the group, the backgrounds, their wishes and wants

The post was just out of "oh my goss" on the market,
but it stirred many interesting comments worth watching

but still with working at 62 and no hopes of just saying that's it! for me I continue,

up at 4:50 AM every morning,
make the drive to work

open the office, dis out the daily choirs, manage the daily routine and hope to leave the office by 4 to make the 1 1/2 drive home!
and I love it

with the market good, or not!
because I know I/m one of the lucky ones!
Family, friends and joys or being alive!

Thank you King2013!
I would have been retiring next year had I stayed in the Army.  Did 6 years of active duty. Chose to go a different way.

Of course I could be dismembered or dead just as easily.

Thanks for serving, glad you made it out you deserve it.

It was made by Country Coach and is their top of the line model.  I think as I recall Country Coach is no longer in business and that in itself will hurt him when he goes to a different coach.   Funny thing is it really doesn't bother him. I wouldn't be able to sleep taking those kinds of losses.

Never heard of that brand/model. I have been told that the best/most reliable are the converted buses. Buses are made for many over the road miles mechanically and structurally where as some/most motor homes are made for occasional trips. :nixweiss:

Doubt I'll ever be in a position to find out but it's nice to dream. ;D
