Anyone have experience w/Heli Bars?
« on: January 24, 2015, 05:26:57 PM »

Really need to replace the stock handlebars on our '09 &'10 CVO Ultras. Really uncomfortable.  Looking at Heli Bars, they have several "knuckles" to allow multiple adjustments. Thinking this would be great as we run the stock heated seats in winter & change to street glide seats in summer.  Seat difference is very noticeable.  But man, they're expensive at $750 ea. Has anyone swapped for these bars? Thanks for any input.

I hate to admit this      but had a set on a Goldwing, I had before my limited,,   yes   they are the real deal...  made a huge difference in handling and comfort...    The price is step  but once you have em you will say   why did I not do this before... :orange:

Last year I had a set installed of my 2012 Trike. They were $700 installed at Laconia Bike Week. They made a difference for sure. Cable extensions or new cables were not needed. The clutch cable is rerouted so that it does not come through the inner fairing. A black plug is put into the fairing hole. Not sure if the heated grips wiring make a difference. I'll be keeping my bars stock on this bike, they are comfortable for me.

Way too expensive and way too weird  for me on a Harley.  And you cannot run the wires though them. That's the deal-breaker for me. .  :nixweiss:

If anyone is on the fence - say this at my dealer - not for me.

Exactly
They couldn't run my CVO Hydraulic clutch line and other cable through the handlebars. Not into tape or tie wraps.
