So we limped it there and they made so repairs. I negotiated an extra day on the bike so all and all we made out on the deal. Here is the girl we spoke to, danielle I think her name was.

Marty, I'm glad we got the opportunity to ride and hang out again... next time we will be on your turf.... looking into shipping my bike for a 3 week adventure next year or the year after sometime.

Next year we return the State Rally to Oahu. Maui was fun, but its time for a change.

Mama's food is great... the Sashimi was a little skimpy but no complaints other than that.

We had a connection that helped Marty get a reservation on short notice.

I lived and rode on Oahu for five years back in the 70s. It was a great place to ride. Not too sure about now. Too much has changed in 40 years. But I'd take Kauai, Big Island or Maui anytime!

After 5 days on Maui with our bikes transported from Oahu, the first day back on the bike was a reality check... Oahu, too many cars and people, inconsiderate azzhats that are too self centered to give a hoot about anyone else on the road...

A move to Maui may be in my future!

Thought so. It wasn't great in the city back then. But in five minutes, I could be outta town on I-4 and headed to other parts of the island. I imagine it's just too crowded now. Folks thought it was back then. Be safe brah, aloha!

Given, there are close to 1M people on Oahu, and less than 200K on Maui.

Better roads, friendlier people, property is more expensive than Oahu but larger parcels.

I've got my eye on a property that the house needs some work..... now I just need more money!
