Isn't there something weird about the bridge? I recall hearing or seeing something about that bridge on/near the fault being crooked or something in the middle. :nixweiss:

It's the bridge that goes over the fault.  The brige pilings have moved 5' in opposite directions, from where they were when the bridge was built.  The bridge footings or pilings extend outside the bed of the bridge and it's very obvious, visually.  Mark was taking a pictures sighting down the footings.  He'll probably post later.   I forgot my camera this weekend. :nixweiss:

That's what I was doing. The bridge runs right down the middle of the San Andreas Fault. It spans the Pacific Plate (the side I am on), and the North American Plate on the far side of the picture. As tectonic pressure shifts the two plates back and forth, the footings shifted.

He designed an outhouse that allowed for conversations, up close and personal. It also makes it easier to pass the toilet paper.
