Another weekend ride.....still nice weather here and on a day off from work too!!! Starting in Lone Pine, Ca and will be riding up the canyon to Whitney Portal. This is the end of the road/parking lot for climbers bagging Mt. Whitney.

Hey Steve....ya want to borrow my spare gloves....don't need them, its 61 deg.....more on this later..

A quick stop 4 miles from the end of the road...yes now is it cool......the bikes thermometer says 35 deg.. probably just as accurate as the speedo...

Making the turn at the end of the road and find snow and ice on this downhill curve.......the rear abs works...didn't try the front...

Some of the twisties on the way down the hill....getting warmer too.....unfortunately the battery in Vivianne's camera gives up.....a nice Sunday ride with friends.

We are headed for 9000' in the White Mountains this weekend. Spending the night there, hoping for no snow, nothing predicted so we should be good.
