This has been quite a trip, thank you very much for including us all. Pictures have been beautiful, feels like I was there with you.

I have to tell ya.............. I think it took quite a big set of Kahonies for both of you to go this alone, very impressed!!

Get home safe and thanks again.

 From Anne Aug. 10th:

We are definitely on the home strech-As Chris puts it "We can smell the barn" We traveled along INTERSTATE "5" today heading for the coast tomorrow, taking the final two days enjoying, meandering along "HIGHWAY "1" to our door-step Thursday AUGUST 11. I took some random shots, here and there-facinated by OREGON'S recycling, reveling in the biggest most awesome ice cream cones "SHERM'S" Chris immersing himself in"STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, myself in ESPRESSO CHIP. Trucks upon trucks seeming to move the whole world around. Is nothing tied down anymore? We are happily adjusting to USA mainland prices. (CANADA & ALASKA emptied our pockets) So I am going to end this evening in the motel pool- floating my way into oblivion. SPLISH SPLASHING INTO DREAMLAND, Love to All, Annie

Great trip. Thanks for all the beautiful pics. Can't wait for you to relax, do the wash, and get back in the swing of things, so we can start asking you questions about the trip.

We would like to thank all of you who joined us for our little ride to Alaska and also a big :2vrolijk_21: THANK YOU :2vrolijk_21: to Dave (Wrongway) for taking the time to share it with you.

It was truely an amazing adventure! The only thing that could have made it any better would be to have Roger and Mel there with us!!!

28 days... 8500 miles... and yes, as you have seen me snoozing in more than one of Annes photos, a physically demanding ride.

Some are questioning our choice of motorcycles for our trip. Originally we were going to ride the Dalton Hwy from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay. That part of the ride we will save to do with Roger and Mel. This is 500 miles of dirt/gravel/pothole road and thats one way! Riding two up and carring all our gear, including camping gear is alot of added weight. So the question came down to do I want to take my $35,000 bike and trash it on this road and take the risk of having it washout from under me with my kids mother on the back? Granted, it could happen on any bike, but we were fortunate enough to have the choice between the two bikes. We also rode the Denali and Top of the World Hwys which are 80 miles and 60 miles of unpaved roads and that we would not have done if we were on the Harley.

Thanks again for joining us and please post or pm us if you have any questions about the trip!
