200 mile ride in 39 degrees on CVO Limited
« on: October 19, 2013, 02:31:17 PM »

Went up the coast of Lake Superior this am, some rain but mostly just grey skies.

I really like my CVO Limited, sound system is great, spoke with my brother in Europe for 21 minutes during the ride, perfect sound. (I normally don't use the cellphone on a motor but wanted to try it out)

Did run a few POI searches and navigations on the GPS, worked great to. Cruise control is smooth, and the Ohlin shocks seem great, have to stiffen up the spring a little.

Tonight I am going to hardwire outlets for the heated gear so I can make good use of gloves and jacket. Planning a 800 mile trip next weekend.

Clutch worked good to  :2vrolijk_21:

My only issue is the clock and it might be a me issue not a motor issue. Is there a way to see the clock when the GPS screen is in use?

Had a 16 mile ride this morning to work at 17 deg. Heated gear came thru.

Yes.  Going from memory, you can use the right stick to navigate to the lower left and right quadrants and select what you want to be displayed - time to target, miles left, speedo, or clock, etc.

Hope that helps, but fob is in with sleepy wife  or I would power up and walk through it to give better instructions.....

You'll get it, though.

Update:

You can use the right stick to customize the "boxes" on the lower left and right.

Use the right stick to move to the box of choice.
Select using the right stick - a menu appears.
Move the right stick to the right window to bring up a "scroll" menu to see all the options available.

Best to do this while stationary!
