Pretty cool build :2vrolijk_21: Looking it over I see it even has heated seats. At least for the lower two riders.

Either a lot of photoshop or a lot of work has been done on that bike.
Wide rear tire and rear swing arm are not stock.
Exposed belt, look at that slot in the bodywork for the belt to have clearance.
What happened to the saddlebag supports?

i dont think killboy photoshops bikes onto the dragon, so lets assume its real.

gotta be at least a 300 back there. i see the rear end has been lengthened and widened.

and an additional pulley to offset around it all

Interesting :confused5: Would like to see more pictures of the bike. Definitely some serious mods done to it (if it's for real).

Neal just think of what you could do photochop'n heads in that picture similar to what you did w/the Easyrider photo. :nervous: :smartass: :wiseguy: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

checked North Carolina and Tennessee motorcycle laws; technically it IS legal if they have their own footrests, are seated behind the operator and are wearing DOT approved helmets.

The saddlebag supports are there, zoom the shot, they are different, but they are there.

The second rider looks like a kid but older than seven (age required in some states).  I'm just glad that it isn't MY kid.

If it is real, regardless of the legality and adequate mods to the suspension and brakes, somehow this just doesn't look safe. Surprisingly, there are more laws about sidecars than stuff like this.

It looks as if there are new frame rails as well as swing arm I guess for that fat tire.

The front fender looks dangerously close to hitting the triple clamp also.

It's interesting but I see a lot that would worry me.  Can't say how worried without a closer look.  But from the limited view we've got some worry.

The new box frame that's been built to center and triangulate the rear end/wheel is effectively the rear swingarm also.  But it's an absolutely fixed mount on the front.  So now give with all the lateral forces apparently transmitted in the front to a primary housing bolt and something else on the right side?  Unless there is more there that I'm not seeing that would make me doubt it's even real.  But if real that would worry me a lot.

Also wonder what they've done to support the extended rear axle and the new pulley mounted on it that then carries the new secondary drive belt back to the new back wheel?  If it's anything like the new skinnier wheel bearings used after the 1" bearings were dropped that's another area I'd worry about.

Much there to consider.  But much there that I'd want to know a lot more about before I threw kids on the bike and rode the Dragon.

OK, WHOA! Now!

You guys are just chomping at the bit to ATTACK this thing!  Why?
First, I LIKE it.
Second, I'm convinced it's real
Third, take a much closer look. There's a lot more there than you are seeing.

The box-tube framework is NOT mounted on the primary, it's bolted to the frame.
That framework supports the bags and the pipes and doesn't move with the swingarm.
The swing arm looks to me to fully utilize the factory mount and bushings but also has a support extended to support the outboard end of the extended mainshaft.
I want more info, such as how the location of the swingarm pivot point has been altered to align with the mainshaft.
I think its very interesting and I only have one issue with it and that's the exposed drive belt and little boy shoes/feet.

Evaluating is not attacking.  It's interesting; or I'd not have wasted the time looking at it to begin with.  On my stupid phone screen that looked like a mount on a primary tab.  On a big screen are you for sure it's to the frame?
Title: Re: WTF!!!!
Post by: MrSurly on June 25, 2014, 03:50:51 PM
I'm pretty sure that it's bolted to the lower bolt location of the swingarm mount cover.
The primary case screws are all on the same plane, so to mount onto the screw that is at the four 0'clock position there would mean the new frame would a lot further outboard of the bike's frame. I also would make no sense as the primary is of course rubber mounted.
I'd like to know the date/time so we could see the other pics of it.

I also want to know what's written on the pipe.

As many problems as people had here with non-OE drive belts breaking I'd also be curious what's being used for the likely non-OE replacement main drive belt and the new secondary belt on to the back wheel.

I went to killboy.com on Facebook and found the picture.
The subtitle said 6-25-2014 #29 of 114.
So that's what I posted.
If d00d had facebook I could have asked him.

Do you have the day and picture number?

As someone who is pretty good with Photoshop I have to say it is NOT photoshopped (or the guy is way better than me or anyone I know). Looks well executed all around as mods go. Maybe it's the new 2015 SG Unlimited Limo model! ;D

I still like it!

I'd like to ride it, as well.
It looks like the wheelbase has been stretched about 10" and a jack shaft has been added.
I would guess that he built some sort of extension off the back of the trans case to provide a pivot point about four inches aft of the original. Then a swing arm was fabbed longer to use a stock belt but with the front sprocket concentric with this pivot instead of it being ahead of the pivot, like stock. So how's he driving the jack shaft? My guess would be a short chain.
