XR 1200 COMING TO A DEALER NEAR YOU

Just got an email from the local dealership.  Seems the MoCo has decided to bring the XR1200 to America.  The dealership is taking a limited number of pre-orders to buy one.  This is one fine looking Sporty, that's for sure.

About a month ago, Doc's HD in Kirkwood MO, had one at their open house anniversary party.  Not sure who's it was, but it DID look great.

Looks great- read about these last year when they were overseas-only.  I'd love to test ride one. Could be a fun scoot to run into town with, etc.

NOPE!
The 126/121 Lowrider was a great bar bike but in a year and a half, I rode it twice and Nancy rode it once.
A bagger with solo seat and no tour pak is the way to go for me.
Can I keep up with the XR 1200, , , in a curve, NO, , , on a straight, absolutely!
And when we stop I will have a place for him to put all his chit!

Before anyone gets too excited: The bike has been available in Europe since spring and sits at the dealers like lead. In my mind it is a great Sportster and a nice ride, but for what? And I think that is the question too few people can answer.

Anybody know how many are going to be made available? If they are going to be very limited and numbered maybe they would have one model that would be worth purchasing for re-sale when they are sold out. Hey I guy can dream can't he!
