ROUGH IDLE on new CVO RK
« on: September 19, 2013, 09:18:53 PM »

Today I looked at the new Orange CVO RK , nice, but when I starting it up it sounded like it had a stumble or miss in the idle. It also sounded like it had a vacuum leak but now that I think about it, that sound was probably the new open air filter, yes you can hear it sucking air, but that don't explain the rough sounding idle. I have had two other 110 motor CVO's and this one definitely idled rougher. I told the salesman and he ask a mechanic about it and his answer was they all do that, really. Has anybody heard the "new" 110 run rough like this one? Maybe they all do that  :nixweiss:. You know now that I've had some time to think about it could have been in heat management mode. It was hot from just idling it after it had been ridden. Don't they go into a mode that cuts out the rear cylinder when it gets hot like in slow traffic. :confused5:

It's a feature, not a bug ;~).  It's the Engine Idle Temperature Management  System.   You can disable it very easily if it bothers you.
