Mine sounds like a junk yard too. Just the nature of the beast.

You would think by now harley would put some roller  rockers in for what the bikes sell for!

Yep, top end of a 110 sounds like something's about to come loose. Well documented on this forum and others.  Many believe Amsoil quiets down the top end, in addition to healing warts, treating gout, curing erectile dysfunction, and increasing horsepower.

Roller rockers wouldn't fix the noise you're hearing.  In fact, rollers could make more noise than the current solid pieces.

Uh, Mark, you need to try to keep up with the latest information.  It isn't AMSOIL that does that stuff, it's Motorkote.

Thanks Jerry, it's hard to keep up with the "latest and greatest" in the war of the oils.

It has been my experience that any synthetic oil will increase engine noise. Sounds bad but increases lubricity.

Piss-thin synthetics will increase engine noise, and in older paper-gasket engines, they will create weeping of oil that was not there prior many times.
Just think, for $20.00 each, every single mother-swingin' soul on planet earth can be an Amsoil "dealer".......not us.

Not sure if HD is still using the 255 cams now that the CVO RG is a wet head. 255 cams in 110" motors make a bit of noise, changing to a cam like a 24D quiets things considerably. I run Redline 20W-60 which helps too.
