I have found that running alight weight non syn primary fluid works very well. In some cases add 20 oz of mercon  atf and 15 oz primary lube

I run TranSynd, very high quality oil and one of the few ATFs to carry a API GL-4 rating

Thanks for the info for the primary fluid.  I know I'm off topic here but this compensator issue has been a huge embarrassment to Harley not to mention us riders getting that funny look by other bikers when you are trying to start your bike and you get that embarrassing noise.  I only have 80,000 and I'm putting my 6th compensator this winter.  Went 42,000 miles on the original and then as they made what they call improvements the worse it got.  At this point it is what I call a disposable item.

Pretty much any ATF type F or B&M trick shift... I've heard of a mix like GMR suggested but I've not tried it. Evolution Industries recently stated the Redline MTL works well, Ive not tried their primary fluid but their engine oil and tranny oil are one of my favorites. You are not alone in the comp issues. Now that you have a solid set of flywheels, maybe give the EI sprocket a try. If that scares you perhaps the Baker unit. Just dont ride it like a Gold Wing and lug through town at 30 MPH in 5th gear and roll on when you leave town with the EI sprocket. The bigger motors like to spin. To address that you can run the EI sprocket or their 49 tooth basket. Either will do the job or spring for the DD7. The 1st and 2nd gear on the DD7 is righteous! The new neutral detent is killer as well. Finding neutral while heat soaked butter smooth. No rocking the bike at all, just a simple flip of the shifter. Lots of ways to skin the cat nowadays.
