Mike,
Since I'm involved with other things at the moment and this is the next big deal for me, you can be the guinea pig for all of us here. The first thing I'd do is find out what the diameter of the rotors on the SEVROD and you bike is. Then check the thickness of each. After that, find out what the diameter of the fork tubes of each is 42mm I believe, but could be wrong. IF, all of those things match up there shouldn't be any reason why this won't work. One other thing you might check. Ask the parts guy to pull out the parts catalogue for a 2005 Screamin Eagle V-Rod. They did not have Brembo brakes. See if those part numbers front and rear match up with the part numbers for your bike. If they do then you're in like Flint.

I'm happy to report my findings as I discover them, but I'm in Chicago and the bike won't get on the road until March or so.  I know, I know, the weather is terrific here now, but I'm using the Buell for winter riding.  I'd like to see others who are interested in this do some research and report in and together we can figure out if this will work.  I'll stop by the dealer again in the next couple of days and see if he has one of each on hand to compare.  in the meantime, check out http://www.cyclebrakes.com/.  They say that high carbon steel disks have more grab than OEM, and of course they sell lots of high carbon disks, including Brembo.  I'd like to read some other opinions on that.

Cheers!

Okay, I visited two dealers and it "looks" like the Vrod caliper might work.  Neither dealer had one in stock, but using a tape measure it appears that the mounting bolts are the same distance apart, and the offset to the center of the rotor is correct.  The rotor thicknesses seem pretty similar.  The big difference is the rotor diameter.  The stocker is 11.5 in and the Vrod is 11.75 in., which makes for 1/8 in. at the caliper.  Whether it would work due to that discrepancy, I couldn't tell.
Neither dealer thought this would be worth the effort, given the other options out there.  Both Performance Machine and Arlen Ness make 6 piston calipers that will work with the stock components, and I understand that Brembo makes a kit worth looking at as well.  I'm waiting for a proposal from Cycle Brakes before I decide.
Disclaimer:  I am not suggesting that the Vrod calipers will work, only that they might or might be easily modified to work.  Purchase parts at your own risk. ;)

Mike,
Thanks for doing the legwork on this. My thought was that if it worked, with 20% off from Chicago H-D (among others) it would be cheaper than PM. I've stopped into a couple of aftermarket shops and priced the PM's and all are telling me $1,000 for both front brakes in chrome with brkts etc.
