Another ESP question
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:32:46 AM »

Looking to buy the ESP for my '15 CVO Street Glide. Got an e-mail from Kutter Harley about not selling the CNA administered plan anymore and he is looking to sell me a plan by CornerStone United which he says is honored at all HD dealerships. Has the tire and wheel option as well. Anybody have any experience with this new plan? Not quite sure who made the ESP plan I had on the '11.

Thanks

The Harley-Davidson endorsed plan is through a company called CNA, one of if not the biggest service contract companies out there.  There is a thread around here somewhere talking about the plan offered by Kutter.  If you can find it, it might be a good read.  The only thing I'd be really concerned about would be the claim that all Harley dealers would honor it.  I'd want some proof before I'd believe that one.  Harley dealers have to honor the one Harley endorses, but it would be strictly voluntary for a plan offered by a different company.

Did you use it at the dealer who sold it to you?  Any idea if the Indy shops that accept the HD plan will accept this?

There is another ESP plan besides Cornerstone that I believe may be cheaper.  It is called Zurich and the contact person is John Evans at Blue Ridge Powersports - 540-434-7345.  My understanding of these ESP plans are not necessarily are they honored by Harley but these plans will cover as long as the shop is ASE certified and I believe all Harley shops are.  My techs at the local Harley like Zurich because they pay on all coverages under the plan and do it very expiditiously.

Here is one of the old ESP discussions I think may be the one Jerry mentioned:

I asked my dealer if he would discount it 20% and I'd buy it and he did.

The one Kutter sells if I recall doesn't have the $50 co-pay.
