anyone have trouble with 2011 CVO streetglide?
« on: April 13, 2015, 01:07:36 PM »

I am considering trading in my 2006 CV 0 ultra classic for a 2011 CV 0 Street glide.  Wondering if anyone has any specific trouble with the 2011 Street glide.  It seems that there are some audio issues that some people post.  Any drive train trouble?  Do you think it's a good idea to purchase the 2011 CV 0 Street glide.  He would be about $ 5-6000 dollars more than a 2015 street glide special, with a new boom audio and GPS.  I am thinking the new 2015 bike is probably a better idea, however the 2011 CV 0 is a gorgeous bike and gives me palpitations!!
Thanks for your input..

2015 has too many upgrades to pass up and if the 15 is 6K cheaper than the 2011 I would call that a no brainer.  :nixweiss:

To each his own...I'd go with a new SGS.  New warranty, infotainment system, beefier front forks, etc.  Also, better lifters (hopefully) and compensator (hopefully).  If the '11 has the stock lifters, plan on having to replace them.  Also, I believe the '11 has the same wheels as my '10...which means your only choice for tires are the factory Dunlops, which are prone to cupping.

If You choose the '11, inspect the chrome closely...look for peeling and blisters.
