Installed TW-777 cams in my 110", thundermax tuner, true duels with rinehart 4" , runs stronger, still got beat by my friend with a 103 with S&S 570 easy start cams, how can this be......Should I install 10.5:1 pistons to help wake up these cams, I will be having bike put on dyno at Leesburg, motor was dyno'ed at 90/100 prior to cams.....This 110 should be stronger than the 103???? Right???
I've used Chris with Cycle Solutions for Dyno in the past.....
I also installed S&S lifters and pushrods, valve train is much quieter.....thats a plus..... :bananarock:

With that cam you  should get your compression somewhere around 10.4 - 10.5:1 whether you do pistons or head work and a good tune to get the low end grunt back.  Check with Hillside or Fuel Moto for recommendations they both seem to use the Woods cams a lot. I did the triple 7's when they first became available and had Hillside work the heads and blend the throttle body. On the dyno my bike produced 105 Hp and 121 Tq a larger throttle body and injectors would show some gains in Hp but I'm happy with it for now!  BostonBoy

You need to pull the compression up to support the later closing intake.
10.4 or so will do it.
It'll feel like a completely different bike.

Get it tuned too!

If that 103" has some head work, those .570's rock and roll, so don't hang your head yet.

X2 on the higher compression and beadwork. My 107 surprises 110's on a regular basis.

Get that compression up, with either a S/E 58 or S&S 58mm Throttle Hog, tuned, and your bud with the 103" will be looking at your tail light...............fading away.

Well the correct way to get to that compression ratio would be pistons with a dome.. Or you can machine the heads re fit the intake shim the ACR's..

Or  pull the cam and install one that work's with the comp ratio you have , makes more low end power, no reversion when it comes to tuning..  If you are a woods guy the reversion is part of the deal and install the 555.

A basic bolt in cam that is a correct fit for that application will make 108 hp and 118 tq with no other mods..

They do work well, set up correctly, and damn few cams set at 10.0 cr will hang with them. :2vrolijk_21:
