Clutch Squawk and Bike Jumps on hard take-off.
« on: April 14, 2015, 09:47:20 PM »

2008 CVO Ultra with Screaming Eagle clutch assembly.  Loud noise (squawk) then bike jumps and nearly causes wreck on hard take-off.  Usually first time out in morning.  Tried lighter oil (now using Amzoil synthetic.  No change.

A few things can cause that. Glazed steels, plates stuck together from sitting, un even engagement

When you say SE clutch .. are we talking about the SE clutch with 6 cover springs ?? or a se clutch spring??

The SE clutch eliminates the narrow fiber and the absorbers. That along with the hydraulic clutch will cause a noise on engagement.
Replace the OE narrow disc and spring plates noise will go away. (For some reason i have never had a problem with a cable.)
