removing speaker grills on saddle bags 2015 street glide
« on: April 24, 2015, 10:59:04 PM »

Can anyone help me with how to take off the speaker grills on the saddle bags.  I have a small dent that I know I can pop out from behind.  I am hoping they pop off but don't want to yank on them and make a bad situation worse.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Al

They should be held on by 4 screws from the underside of the lid.
If you open the lid and look you should see them.

When you remove them take note of a rubber washer that sits between the grill and the lid from the top of the lid.

Hope this helps

Thanks so much.  I was afraid of that.  I was hoping to fix it without breaking the seal.  I will try a little fishing line and see if I can pull out the dent.

You won't break any seal really. The rubber washers are resilient in the fact that you can remove the grills and reuse them. The speakers are mounted from the top with 4 separate screws and those (thus the speaker gasket) are not touched when removing the grills.
