AVC Speed volume control
« on: April 24, 2015, 11:30:09 PM »

Just picked up my new 2015 CVO limited. All is well except I find the AVC speed volume control doesn't seem to work properly. When I set it at 3 or 4 the volume doesn't go down when slowing to a stop and seems to go lower at cruising speeds. Almost seems to be working backwards. Any one else having issues? I checked the software and it is at its newest revision.

This seems to be an inherent problem with the .3 version, and as of right now the only way I know of to fix the problem (which is only temporary) is after starting the bike you have to go in and turn off the AVC and then set it back to the desired setting. This has to be done every time you ride the bike, because it will stop working after you shut the bike down, and you will once again have to shut off the AVC and reset it. The upside is, it does work great if you do this each and every time. Hopefully this will be something that is fixed in the next update.

Folks have been waiting for the next update to fix this since the system was introduced for 2014, so don't hold your breath.

Correct, they have had many updates since 14 and still not fixed on the CVO Limited or the CVO Road Glide Ultra.  The .3 version did finally fix it on my wife's 15 Road Glide Special.

Customer service says it has something to do with the amp used with the Limited and RGU.  They just say they are working on it.

Figure about 24 months from now when I am ready to trade they will have the update that corrects it.

Works good! I just set AVC to off when I finish my ride and reset to 3 or 4 after starting.

That's great, like I said if you do that every time you ride the AVC works wonderful, it is actually one of the best AVC controllers I have heard, if it would only stay on between shut downs.
