First Ride in Years

It wasn't a long ride but it was fantastic.

Having not been able to sit on my bikes for several years I rode for the first one yesterday on my FXDWG3.  After 10 feet I was feeling like I hadn't missed a day of riding.  It brought back memories and feelings of my first Harley ride ever on my 1976 FLH the day I rode it off the showroom.

All made possible by my two hip replacements over the last two years.

I know I'll be spending a lot of time on the bikes again. :bananarock: :bananarock:

I can relate, totally.  I was off my bike....actually without a bike.....for two years, due to back issues.  I've been back up since xmas and not an issue any more.  I'm sure you'll have the same success.  I had my hip implant for about eight years and it's still good...not an issue at all.

Lot of years and a lot of miles ahead of you buddy!

Thanks guys, really comfortable on the bike.  I had the surgery Nov 11, Veterans Day, started back at golf on January 12th and all good since.  Best result is range of motion in the groin. 

Anyone waiting to replace a hip I can't recommend doing it sooner than later enough.  I'm sure Fired00d and JCZ will agree. Quality of life is amazing post surgery.

Congrats on getting back on the bike  :2vrolijk_21:.  I had double knee replacement last June.  Recovery was long, but the ability to stand and work or wash the bike again is finally paying off.  :cucumber:
