I was thinking about replacing the handlebar mirrors with SG style fairing mounted mirrors. So I was wondering if anyone has attempted this conversion and if so any words of advice you might have.

Thanks in advance.

I forget if you had a SG previously, but if you didn't my suggestion would be to try a bike with those fairing mounted mirrors to make sure you like them before drilling holes in your new inner fairing.  Some people with SESG's have converted from the fairing mirrors to the bar mounted mirrors because they weren't satisfied with the functionality of those mirrors.  Enough people have done this that there are products on the market to fill or cover the holes from the fairing mounted mirrors.

Great suggestion Jerry. I'm 6 1" with 32 inseam. So I was a bit concerned about the line of site considering the handlebar. I thought I would have a clear view based on the seating position. But it makes sense to be sure before making a potentially expensive mistake. Other than that it seems like an easy conversion.

Thanks.
