Fullsac conversion for SE Street Cannon mufflers
« on: March 30, 2015, 07:18:59 PM »

Street Cannons came with my 2014 FLHXS as I bought it slightly used.  I removed the CAT and it ruined the decent sound.  I had it tuned at Rob's Dyno in Mass, (Great guy) but it still sounded like crap.  81HP, 104 TQ which is good for me.  Wanting to keep the mufflers for stealth (street legal) I decided to pull the baffles.  Two screws and they came right out.  A different setup than the CVOs.  I sent pictures to Steve @Fullsac and he told me he had nothing for me, but if I didn't mind doinfg a bit of welding, I could replace the core with the parts from my baffles.  He gave me a good deal on just the bare 2" CVO baffles.
An hour after the UPS truck left, the cores were welded and installed.  It sounds great, as with my earlier Fullsac mufflers.
Steve is a great guy to work with. I'll attach pictures of before and after.

SO back to Rob for a re tune.? As I would think that the spiral louvered core vs the perf core is going to be a large change in tune.

Tell Him I said hello. He is a great guy.

Yes, as soon as it warms up, I'll retune.

I went back for the retune and was amazed that after changing to Steve's 2" cores, the tune was rich and the HP and TQ dropped, 3HP, 10TQ with only changing the baffles.
How can this be? Are the stock baffles pictured in this thread really better?  Is the 2" too much for the stock 103?

Can you post the final dyno chart after it was retuned?

The before (BLUE) is the tune after the Cats removed with the SE Street Cannons.  The after (RED)is just the baffle change.  Same Dyno, same tuner.
Thanks Steve.
