Myrtle Beach Bikeweek 2015
« on: May 25, 2015, 04:52:10 AM »

This is the 2nd video I have put together with the Gopro. Myrtle beach Bikeweek has around 250,000 bikers and has been going on for over 70 years...

Great video and edited very well! Thanks for sharing. John (jpb) and I were at the MB also and from some of the bikes in your video we were visiting the same places at around the same time. I took my GOPRO with me but I had two new camera mounts for the bike and neither one worked out. So I ended up with a lot of pics but no video. Here are some of the shots from our trip:

Thanks for the kind words....I have friend that rides and his son is in college for film and he saw the video. Going to get with him this week to clean up some of the edits. 1st thing he said was take out the special effect (edits with boxes effect) . I will find out more when we meet..and I will update the video and repost it back on Vimeo.

Michael, Looks like you edited the video? I think I saw a couple of still shots that were not there before. I'm taking notes on how to do videos right based on your video BTW. I learned a lot of tricks I hadn't thought of.

Cam,
I took out the special effects between some scenes, shorten some of the edits from 8 seconds to 4, and added 14 new scenes from stills to video trying keep the video moving..Next time we (wife and I) we will work on holding Gopro more steady when it's not mounted on the bike and using some more diff angles. Using the gropro is fun but a lot of work.

It is a lot of work. I was going to buy a few more(!) cameras to even come close to the kind of videos GoPro uses to talk us into buying their cameras. But I think your method of holding it by hand to change the POV on demand will help me same a lot of money! ;)

This is the video that convinced me to buy their camera and then I realized to do the same kind of work I need 10 cameras, 20 differet mounts, an airplane, a couple of friends who are standing by the side of the road waiting for me to pass by, a couple who are paragliding right over my head, etc., etc. BTW I have the theme music for this ad on my iPod and whenever it comes on when I'm riding I go al least 10 miles faster than I normally would.
