« on: June 18, 2015, 04:51:39 AM »

In my 1550,  when going really slow, just off idle I can feel a little "hiccup" and a little sqeak noise from the intake....what would cause this?  air?

A little more info than 1550 would be helpful here. ??? What year, model, mods, mileage?? The first place I'd look for a squeak on an Flh type is the rear muffler mounts, notorious for for squeeking or chirping!! A little spray lube usually stops that. ;)
A squeak or chirp from the engine could be many things, a bad exhaust gasket or intake seal, :2vrolijk_21: or even a partially seized lifter roller. :'( As you can see some are minor, others need immediate attention. twinotter

Look at the exhaust mounting brackets....had 'birds' on my Wife's Sporty and it turned out to be a cracked bracket. Edmonton Harley took one off of a bike on the floor to replace it under warranty.

its not when I am moving.  Its a 2001 road glide cvo.   its when I am iding or the engine is lugging a bit,  every now and then it would hesistate and get a little squeak.

The first place to look is the exhaust system, as several have mentioned.  At idle the engine tends to move a lot, especially if it's not idling smoothly.  Look for any signs of loose heat shields, any signs of parts of the exhaust contacting things like floorboards or other parts, and definitely check the rear muffler mounts as noted by twinotter, those were famous for chirping and squeaking.  A quick shot of silicone spray might help, but I've found a more lasting fix involves removing the rubber from the mount, cleaning everything, and then applying a silicone lube in paste form.  Lasts a lot longer.

Do you have the MM EFI? That system can be quirky, idle issues etc.
