I have a set of 585 ES cams in my 2010 and they make a nasty clanging sound at idle.

It happens..
But not a chronic problem.
I have heard of 4 total now. One being yours. They make a lot of racket at low speeds sounds like lifters going bad.
One guy I know pulled his motor hunting for the problem and the last thing he thought of was that cam. Sure enough..

S&S is a good company and stands behind their products well as long as you bought the parts from an authorized retailer.

Too low of an idle speed will cause the arm to move from lack of centrifugal force that is needed to hold the arm in the correct position.......me just not sharing info once again.....

Everybody is gonna get rich off that one. I've never seen/heard a Delphi fuel injected Harley idle below 1000 rpm, unless the IAC was dirty or defective.

In the interest of disclosure one of the 4 I cited has dropped off the list. Broken rocker support, the HD forged, was the culprit
