New mufflers new throttle body tts tuner more power
« on: August 19, 2015, 09:56:55 PM »

Back in November Steve of GMR turned my 110 into a 113. I had the V&H Hi Output mufflers which left a little on the table at low RPM. In Louisiana on flat ground it was not really that noticeable. After riding all the way to Sturgis and Montana and through Yellowstone it became really noticeable. So on the way home I stopped back by Steve's shop and had him swap the mufflers to a set of standard crushers. Went with an HPI elliptical 58MM throttle body with 5.3 injectors and went with a TTS tuner instead of the SEPST. The dyno chart is nice but holy cow what a difference in the seat of the pants on the short 20 mile ride from his shop to my brother's house. Can't wait until tomorrow to get her out on the interstate and see what she feels like there!!

Sorry about the inverted picture. I am out of town and using my darn phone instead of the computer.

Steve showed me the same type of muffler difference with my bike. The numbers didn't change on mine like they did yours but the torque comes in much sooner. I didn't get to experience the difference in the seat since Steve made the change before I picked up the my bike. Needless to say, I was very happy with the results......and still am!

I saw his post on FB about the changes to your bike. Looks like it was well worth the visit.  :2vrolijk_21:

I saved your pix to try to rotate it.

Thanks for the picture rotation OBB. I have been at my Brother's house all week without a drop of rain. I get up this morning ready to ride with my new power and the radar shows rain all over the general area....GGGRRRRR.

Steve sent this link to the dyno sheet to me this morning. May be easier to see and read. Thanks Steve.

Not sure why it did not open in the post.

Those mufflers ( V&H High output) look ok on a dyno sheet but for light throttle roll on they always feel a bit soft.  Same thing with some cams .. Without having a dyno in your shop for all of the testing no way to ever see feel the changes. Then go ride the bike and it is without a doubt a massive change in "felt" power.
