117ci kit going on my Pro Street Breakout
« on: April 12, 2016, 02:55:09 PM »

I put a deposit down on a Screamin' Eagle Bolt-On 117 Cubic Inch Street Performance Kit.  It is going on as supplied and will be tuned with a SE Pro Super Tuner. Because I like the look of the smoked chrome factory pipes, I am going to see what it will do with the Cobra slip ons that I currently have on the bike.  The kit is currently back ordered so it will be a bit before it goes under the knife.

Oh...  I forgot.  They are going to install the .030" head gasket for a tiny bump in compression.

Hopefully it will accelerate more like my V-Rod when it is done.

Having owned a cammed 1250 V Rod, I would think probably not - but in a good way.

I did like that bike, but you had to let 'er rev to get in the power.  This will probably be quite the opposite - but like I said, probably in a good way.

Good luck.  Can't wait to ride mine...

Interesting..  It was billed separately so I will have them look into that.  Thanks for the info.

I thought they were like .045 or something in the kit?

I know I measured one (incorrectly) when they did my kit, seemed quite a bit thicker than .030.

But again, I did do it wrong.
