Rear turn signals keep flashing
« on: August 31, 2015, 10:44:50 PM »

A friend posted of video of a ride we were on last week.  I saw the video today and he was directly behind me and I noticed that my rear turn signals were flashing the entire 4 or 5 minutes of video.  I have all LED's front and rear.  Earlier that day, I found that one of my front turn signals was not functioning.  It still worked as a running lamp, but would not flash.  I have a replacement LED coming in the next few days for the bad front one.  I'm wondering if there could be any relationship between the non-functioning front turn signal and the rears flashing.  What else could be happening here?  Who knows how long this could have gone on if I wouldn't have seen that video.

As for the flashing rear lights on the video I've seen that before... if you don't see that happening when looking at them it is a phenomenon of video... believe it is something with the refresh rate of the camera compared to what the human  eye sees.

I wouldn't go crazy digging into wiring or modules looking for something that may not really be there.  Odds are what you see on that video is exactly what fired00d mentioned.  If in doubt, ask someone to ride or drive behind you to observe your lights with their own eyeballs, not a video camera.

That's my first plan...having someone follow me and see if there's a problem. The guy that shot the film didn't notice anything until I pointed it out to him on the video. I guess I'll find out this weekend.
