Just got finished doing my 5k oil change a few minutes ago.
According to the OIB, tranny & primary changes are no scheduled @ 5k...
...since the 1k was done at dealer with SYN3, going to stick to book and wait until the 10k.

Used a K&N KN-171C, from Advance Auto Parts - in stock for $12.99.
Also switched to AMSOIL 20W50 synthetic motorcycle oil...have heard good things about it.
$11.55 per quart at auto local, family owned auto parts store.

Dealer wants something like $350 for the 5k service (and the same for 10k...and I bet they
don't change the other 2 holes @ 5k, either. I'm in at what...less than $50 and 60 minutes of sweat equity?

I'm sure others may disagree on my filter & oil choices...but, they're high quality products with good reputations.
