Bad parents...

Nah, not so much.  Different, that's for sure.  But I can still vividly remember my dad saying similar things to me about playing outside rather than playing in the house with my pile of Hot Wheel cars (that he'd bought and played with too) and I'll lay odds his dad said something to him about the few metal toy tractors he had (that I've still got and adore).  What is "social" for kids today has definitely changed.  But it's still a means of social exchange.  How they "play" has certainly changed.  But it always has.  Yet the kids still hang out, still bust the balls of their parents and their parents still decry the differences and how much tougher they had it.  The more things change the more they stay the same.

:-\  Well..........yeah but,  most all of us way back were at least exercising a few more body parts while playing whatever,  while most of the current crop are just exercising their thumbs while sitting on their azzes awaiting their soon to be diagnosis of (carpal tunnel) of the thumbs. :drink:
