Tourpack back a little
« on: December 25, 2006, 02:17:00 PM »

I looked at my friends Ultra and they have more seat room than my RG in the back seat. I don't have the bike here to look at right now. Is there an adjustment I can make to give my wife more room?  Does it involve drilling/brackets/silicone/...? When I get my bike back from the shop I can go after the fix. Thanks in advance! ;)

HD makes a Tour-pack relocation kit that gives the passenger more room.

Sorry I looked for the number, but no luck.

Your local shop can help you out though.

There are two sets of holes in the TP. Typically they  are moved to the rear by the dealer but not always. You can check to see where yours is. There is also a TP relocation kit made by George Anderson that many here have used with great success. I have installed a few of these for members here too.

There is info on it here:

I removed the tour pack and moved it back on the mounts. It only moves it back about an inch but the wife thinks that is enough. Well at least for now we will try this. I also put my backrest in the tallest position and I think that helps give more room for her. She doesn't ride a lot so this should work. If I need more we now have the place to go for more room. Thanks again guys.
