Moving to BC. (Canada that is )
« on: September 14, 2015, 12:24:20 PM »

Hey there BC folks, will be moving west to BC come spring 2016. Coming from Ontario ( don't hold that against me lol )  will be in Curtice lake or Yarrow.   So I was wondering what the winter riding is like in the valley?  Do people ride all year round?   Also will be looking for the best HD builder and tuner in the area.  Any suggestions would be great. Thanx for the info.

Lucky you.  I have ridden BC several times. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful area to ride.  Hope you enjoy it for all it's beauty.

Cultus Lake is where you will be. Riding the winter is hit and miss, we do get some great sunny cool days in the winter. Jarz Performance is in Abbotsford, so not to far from where you will be. Have several friends who have had motors built there and dyno work done. Mountainview HD is closest dealer to you. They just expanded there shop, good to deal with, but still a dealer!!! Great area out there, lots of back roads and quick access to the Hwy.

There is plenty of rain out here in the winter. That's the only thing that stops me from riding. screaminCVO is correct in recommending Jarz Performance. Lee Ulrich is the owner and is one of the top tuners out here. I have had bikes done there as well as many others. They also do any other work you might want done also.

As far as dealers go, I deal with Barnes Harley in Langley when I have to. I've not dealt at Mountainview before, but I know a couple people that do. They speak highly of their services.

This is a great place to live. There are many roads in Washington State which we are close to.

Hope to see you on the road one day.

Thanx for the info. Checked out Jarz web site, looks very good.  Will dyno my bike there as soon as I move. Here in Ontario we have no one ho is competent at tuning a bike.  I am sure there are bike nights out there where people meet. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys.  The only hard part to the move is leaving your buds behind. Will make new friends i guess, its only a matter of time right?  :-\
