In the past few years, Arkansas has awakened to its potential as a great motorcycling destination for both in-staters and out-of-staters.
I have lived in this state for most of the past 30 years, and traveled extensively by motorcycle and Jeep throughout it.  Additionally, I've been to the Smokies and the Rockies and then further west to the Sierras and the Cascades, but I think this area has its own appeal and beauty.  We don't have the height and majesty of the mountains that you all might have in those other areas, but we do have some darn fine scenery and riding roads!

This website is fairly new and is dedicated to the biker in you:

http://www.arkansas.com/motorcycling/

And this one has just enough to perk your interest in what we have to offer here:

http://www.arkansas.com/scenic-byways/

And if that ain't enough, check this nice video out.  I think it was very skillfully scripted and video'd:

And if you can't make it down here for a visit, then here's one of The Pig Trail:

As they say down here...I hope y'all enjoy!!!    ;D

My wife and I attend Bikes Blues and BBQ this year, and have several other years.  We love some of the roads, 23, 123, 7, 421 and lots more I do not remember the numbers.  Lots of neat little towns to Like Jasper and Eureka.

My wife is from Paris AR.  Her mom now Lives in Ft Smith and she has a Niece who lives in Springdale.  We always stay with them, as her husband rides so we have local tour guides.

I live i the heart of the Smokies and really enjoy the change and riding North West AR.  I have rode the Rockies many times also.

I think you meant Paris, AR, Dave?
I've been thru there many times.  Beautiful country.  Subiaco Monastery is close to there.  And of course just south is Mt. Magazine.

It is really nice having NW Ar in our backyard! The roads go on forever especially if you get off the major highways and start running the state and county roads.

You got that right, Dave!  Hey, check out the ad below.  I was looking thru a Thunder Roads Magazine yesterday and saw this ad.  I don't know if you've seen it before, but it looks like OK is getting in on the act, enticing us bikers to head your way!

Harry, I had seen that ad in Thunder Roads. I think the Oklahoma Dept of Tourism started seeing the dollars generated from the motorcycle community and saw it all heading east to Arkansas. Wife and I will make an average of 4 overnight stays there a year ourselves. We have a few nice rides here but mainly in the eastern 1/4 of the state from north to south, and a lot of secondary roads that are great winter rides just do to the low speeds the road demands, but still day in day out Arkansas is really hard to beat for endless roads to enjoy. Dang typing this is making me wish the weekend was here. Shame it sounds like a very wet weekend in store for us.
