Im now getting nervous...  Im picking up my 2006 SE ultra this sunday....  the original owner told me he had a problem when he first got it (it would stall at cold starts) he brought it into Harley and he said they fixed it.  he said he never had a problem again.  now im wondering if im buying someone elses headache!!
When I go to pick it up what can I look for to see if im going to have future problems??
Michael

As others have stated here, the recall which it sounds like your bike has had resolved the issue.  Many of us have added SERT's or PCC and doe some custome mapping for the exhaust, aircleaner combos we have, you might consider it down the road but it sounds to me like the best thing to do whan you pick it up is simply; RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT :2vrolijk_21:

Have never had a problem with cold starts or coughing on my bike that could not be attributed to operator error.  If the bike has that problem, it's not going to go away on it's own, so if this person is telling you the problem is fixed, and it doesn't do it when you go pick the bike up, I would say you have nothing to worry about.

 >:(  I had the same cold running issues with my '06, several times after letting it warm up & then going up a slight hill on the driveway, it would spit & stall.  Several times it almost caused me to go done...it was tough to hold it up.  I talked to the HD rep about it when we met for the paint issues and all I got was the usual BS.

Get her fixed....you are not the only one with the problem!!!!

I had the hard starting and stalling problems. The dealer found 8 degree injectors in it and changed them to 25 degree type. No more problems. It was delivered about this time last year so they were still using the 8 degree kind at that time. Get em checked out for sure. Made a huge difference on mine...

Good luck and congrats on the bike!  :drink:

No issues with my 06 however, I went with a Power Commander - almost from the get go
