Escort Passport Max 360
« on: December 04, 2015, 11:55:44 PM »

New model I just got. Kinda cool that it tells you by lighted arrow which direction radar threat is coming from. I am new to the radar detector world (thanks JC) after getting a ticket from getting caught by radar a few months ago. Got the last model (Passport Max 2) and found out a couple of weeks later this new model was coming out so i contacted the place I got it from which is the same place that did my stereo system (and has always stood behind it replacing blown speakers and bad relays 4 years later for no charge) and they were great about just charging me the difference between the 2 when this came out. Before I got this I never had any unless I could actually see them where the radar was, now at least I know where to look. Not sure it really changes anything but I like knowing.

I'm betting that you haven't got a ticket since you got the detector!  :P

About the best feature or option I've ever put on a bike....and I still haven't got a ticket since I got my detector over two years ago.  This is the longest I've ever gone without a ticket.  I'm aware that it only works if they have their radar or laser turned on and that it's still possible for them to sneak up behind you and clock your speed without radar.

And while I only have the Passport Max, I'm so tempted to buy the Passport Max 360.  I keep telling myself "if I got the 360 then I could leave one in my truck and one on my bike and wouldn't have to keep switching it back and forth".  :)   Not that it's a major issue to move it back and forth.....just takes seconds to remove it from either and only seconds to re-install it in the other due to the two different mounts.

Alan, keep us posted on your experience with the Max 360 and any other features that you may find that it has that mine doesn't have.

Going for a ride today and tomorrow.....I'll shoot you a PM.

Alan and I went for a ride today.  The Max 360 is a tad bit bigger than the Max.  On the Max I'm using the chrome Techmount radar detector mount.  Bought it from Radar Roy on line.
