maybe I will have to just get a standard Harley-Davidson and add my own touch but, I'll be back sooner than later.

There is nothing wrong with doing just that. I too am truly happy with my 17 year old Road Glide Ultra and have it just as I want it.
My the Good Lord continue to bless the two of you and if it is his plan you will be back riding in do time.
Happy New Year and may 2016 be your best ever.

May the Lord continue to look over both you and your wife on your road to recovery.
Thank you for sharing your story and reminding many of us to keep all things in the proper perspective and also to appreciate that which we do have and not whine so much about that which we don't.

Again, thank you and God bless.

Great news is about you and your wife's health! You don't need a CVO to continue to be part of this forum so I hope you will stay active with us!
I get what you say about the complaining that goes on here but as far as forums go, way less here than most and just like everywhere it is 5% of the people doing 95% of the complaining. Most of the folks here love their bikes and enjoy sharing their experiences with "like minded" people. Just about every mod I have done to my bike I have seen/found here as well as figured out my bikes issues from much smarter people than me.
Stay healthy and thanks for sharing!

Our prayers are with you and your wife. Hardships are never easy, but it always gets better. You're not giving up and have a clear plan to overcome...you got this. God bless.

You are the blessed and lucky ones for you have each other, you need not worry that the bike you loved is no longer there for you to look at as you still have each other to gaze into one another eyes, bring each other happiness and have all the memories of a lifetime together to share with and continue to create new ones.

Glad to read that life is looking up for you. As far as your bike, you'll get another one like you said.

And remember, after the downshift, the rest are all up  :2vrolijk_21:
