Screamin' Eagle Super Tuner Pro

Hi folks!

Anybody using the HD Super Tuner on stock bike (CVO Deluxe without any mods)?
Makes it any sense? Or is the factory mapping good enough?

Thanks for your comments...

Not sure on your model, but I had it installed on a 08 Ultra along with SE Air filter and SE slip on mufflers and it made a great improvement, mpg stayed in upper 40's

In my experience, unless you modify the exhaust or do engine work there's no reason to vary from the factory set up provided the bike runs well. Changes to the exhaust/breather would warrant a re-tune in most cases - that's when I purchased the H-D tuner and had it professionally tuned.

If you experience a lot of heat, a good tune with the race tuner will alleviate it. They come pretty lean (EPA).

IME, those who state changing a/c and exhaust doesn't benefit big time from a proper tune (EFI recalibration) has not ridden a properly recalibrated (tuned) stage 1 (pipe and a/c) bike.
Interesting to note only those who have had their bikes tuned say it is beneficial. :nixweiss:
Just my opinion,

Sebmaster,

It's hard for us here in the U.S. to answer your question, since the EU/Germany probably have different emissions requirements, and we don't know what the "factory" tuning is or what maps  they can use there.  Some dealers in the U.S. just load an EPA-approved map when they install a SEST/SEPST, while others will completely re-work a "starter" map and it won't be EPA-approved.  So it will depend on those factors.  As a note, in the U.S. there have been anecdotal reports that even the stock bikes benefit from tuning, mostly because the factory map is so lean.  Don't know if your dealer can or will adjust beyond EU specs.
