Fullsac core trimming

Has anyone trimmed back the "stub" on there fullsac cores? Looking to hide mine back in the hole a little. Any negitive results, sound etc?

Trimming the stub will change the sound.  Louder if i remember correctly.  However, a while back Fullsac had done some caps around the center core to make it flush with the end of the muffler.

Actually he never sold them, but I guess he had a prototype that showed up in a pic he took in an unrelated thread.

Best to call Steve and ask if he plans on selling those caps.

Why not just call or email Steve @ Fullsac? Seems to me that would the first step.

If you wear a full face helmet, shortening the exit tip will cause a drone in your helmet.
Harley cut em off for one year I believe in 2011, went right back to full length the next year.
I'm wearing full helmets more often than not these days, I run mine flush with the end.

Steve    Buy a shoei  GT air  helmet , best I have found for " quiet in the cockpit area " love mine I have 5 full face now ha ha

Took off 1", sound seems to be a little deeper, but volume seems the same, maybe a touch less? Looks a little "cleaner" from the rear. I like.

I love the sound and performance of my 2" cores. Would be cool if Steve or somebody would make end caps with tappered inner end caps so the end of the core wasn't so obvious.
