I am about to install the H-D Detachables Tour-Pak Conversion Kit 53000291. On my 15 CVO Road Glide. The other two items needed to complete this is CB Antenna Relocation Kit 76000308 (for the second antenna) and Wire Harness W/Module-Firmware 69200949 (For CVO's).

The Wire Harness came without instructions as to how it is to be installed. Harley does not list this part on their on line site so I can't get the instructions there. Here is a picture of the wiring harness.

I appreciate your response. What has me confused is on Page 386 of the 15 parts catalog it says that CVO models require the separate purchase of lighting module 692009449. This module appears to be the exact same wiring harness that already comes with the tour-pak conversion kit 53000291 for the saddle bag lights. So I am wondering why the catalog tells you to buy this harness separately.  It appears that I spent $146.89 for nothing. I won't start the conversion until Monday, just trying to figure it out.

The harness is not need.  Much of the conversion kit is not needed with a cvo either.  The bag lights are not needed unless you want them.

There is a thread in this section on doing the conversion, with out the kit.  And on a cleaner or sportier looking way to mount the plate.

Did the conversion today. It took a buddy and I 6 hours. Everything is perfect. Well except for the seat, going to buy a Road Glide Special seat I think. The wiring harness with the saddle bag lights is not used, the separate purchase one is used and I think those lights are great. They are more than twice as bright as the standard taillight.

I have those sitting here to go on my '15 as well. Thanks for the pix. It sounds like you're talking about two different harnesses. I'd love to see some more pix of how this is all wired up and what that separate harness is needed for. I don't plan on making my TP detachable.

instructions are included with the kit. very easy install of the saddle bag brake lights.  Just make sure you have the correct kit.  Make sure its the one for the cvo I made that mistake and the kit for the normal rg will not activate the brake lights on the saddle bags.

Another option if the dealer installs it is that they can update the ECM option where the rear signal light also illuminate when braking...and so will the saddlebag lights..with the standard wire harness.

Does anyone know if it is possible and what I need to tell the dealer so I can have my CVO programmed where the tour pak rear signal lights ALSO function as brake lights? The dealers seem to have no clue how to do this.
