Need advice if I should change muffler
« on: April 30, 2016, 03:26:15 PM »

I am currently running VH Power Duals with Rinehart 4". Dyno was 93hp/110tq. I been reading many posts about Crusher and Fullsac CVO power cores. I am wanting larger HP/TQ numbers, without upgrading heads, cams or cylinders. I was told by a HD shop that the wet heads produce lower numbers than non wet head CVO's.
Am I going to gain any HP/TQ by going to a Crusher Slipstream or Fullsac CVO core that would be worth the money, for the extra HP/TQ.

There is no reason I'm aware of that would suggest a Twin Cooled CVO110 would produce less torque and power than a regular CVO110.  They run the same parts with the exception of the heads, and that difference only concerns the coolant passage and fittings for the coolant lines.

If I read your post correctly, you want to leave the engine completely stock and only change the exhaust and tune.  So my question is, what exactly do you expect from a simple exhaust change?  Did you have the shop do a totally stock baseline on the dyno to see what the bike produced before you changed anything, so you have something to compare results to?

Post the chart your shop gave you and let some of the experts give you their opinions.
