Run brake lights
« on: May 10, 2016, 07:14:43 AM »

So...I have a 2013 RG custom CVO and sometimes I put a  chopped tour pack on the back when I take out the bride. I was looking for some more light in the back so on the tour pack I installed an air wing luggage rack and also the air wing light. After the install I was really disappointed in the brightness of the air wing light. It is almost useless in the day and only marginal at night. I picked that light because i wanted it to be as inconspicuous as possible. I don't want to put a big ugly light bar on the back of the tour pack. Has anyone found any good options, and if so could you post a picture?

Thanks

I would consider looking at this site :
http://www.customdynamics.com/

Great company to deal with and they have bright LED lights and other stuff. Many of us on this site have used them on 2006 CVO bikes with the leather tourpaks to add light up high between the antennas. You will find many photos in older threads about increasing rear lighting.
If you are trying to increase safety from inattentive drivers/riders behind you, consider a brake light flasher as well. It wakes people up behind you when the lights start flashing..
Same reason many get headlight modulators too for the inattentive ones in front...... (products also sold by Custom Dynamics.)
As a side note they also sell the Mini Beast air-horn which is a great audio safety device too.
