A preacher, an optometrist, and an engineer were playing a round of golf when they caught up to a twosome who were clearly not the best of golfers.

After several holes spent waiting while the terrible twosome hit their balls into every hazard and off the fairway numerous times, the marshal stopped by to see what the holdup was.

As soon as the marshal recognized the twosome, he apologized and explained to the exasperated threesome that the two were visually impaired vets and were being allowed to play in honor of their sacrifice.

The preacher understood and offered prayers for their eventual recovery.  The optometrist offered free eye care in hopes that he could help them.  The engineer suggested that they just play at night.
