2007 CVO Softail Springer- Replacement Rear Brake Line..
« on: June 22, 2016, 02:13:05 AM »

Can anybody help me?

The HD Parts Catalogue does not include a Replacement Diamond back Chrome or Stainless Steel Rear Brake line for the 2007 Softail Models, in particular for myself to fit a 2007 CVO Softail Springer.

Is seems strange that HD did not produce a Diamond back chrome version Rear Brake line for the 2007 Softail Models. I would have thought the 2006 Model Softail (FX) Diamond back Chrome Rear Brake would have fitted the 2007 Model as the frame is the same between 2006-2007 Softail Models.. Am I missing something here?

Can anybody help me here with this question? Any reply would be greatly appreciated..

Best regards,

Aussie..

I couldn't tell you why as I'm not that familiar with the Softail line generally and the Springers in particular.  But a quick check in the online parts catalogs show the rear brake lines got new parts number in 2007.  So something changed after 2006.

Part number for your 07 is 45133-07.  Fits your SE Springer and at least a few other models I quickly looked up.  Like you I didn't find an interchange among the Diamondback parts from HD.  They were never a full models product line anyway so really not surprised there.  After that took a look at Barnett.  They are always a good option to check for lines and cables.  Seem to have a winner there.

Barnett part number 211-30-22036 shows a fitment for the 07 FXCW.  The FXCW shows the same part number for the rear brake line as your bike.  So, voila, a nice lookin' brake line.  Check it out here:

Hi Twolanerider,

Thank you for your help, that seems to be a winner.  I see that Barnett Brake cables are Stainless Steel..

No, I don't believe there is.

Where would be the best place for myself to purchase the Rear Brake Line there in the USA?

Regards,

Aussie.
