Anybody use stock Left side pipe as Ghost pipe for 2:1
« on: August 03, 2016, 10:22:30 AM »

I ordered a 2:1 that will use the stock end cap, but they were out of the ghost pipe. Laying in bed last night it all of a sudden popped into my head, why can't I just use the stock left side pipe and crossover pipe as the ghost pipe? I may need to add an extra support, because it won't be bolted to the main pipe anymore. With the stretched bags you see very little of the can, so even if they are not 100% identical, I don't know that you would notice... and I'm picky.

Has anybody done this? How did you go about supporting the crossover pipe more securely. If I remember correctly, there is 1 clamp that supports the crossover pipe now, I haven't had a chance to look under the bike and see what I can do.

Thanks for the input.

My thoughts are if you can weld the stock clamp to the cross over pipe it may work, the ghost pipe is not an exact match any how... Plus if it don't work out you can always pick it up down the road when it's  available. On mine I removed the baffle in the ghost can and run it empty. Witch pipe you end up going with??

Yes we have customers that do that with our Exhaust 2:1 We sell them the full system and muffler they reuse stock cross over. Save them 100 bucks. Even had a few take stock muffle cut and drill holes for our end caps.

Great, because I am waiting on an exhaust from you Frank! What does it take to put the billet end cap onto your Dragula 2 exhaust? I was told they will fit.
